InfoLink Consulting, with “Link the value for you” as our creed, will hold a webinar on July 8 to share our latest analysis and insights of solar PV and battery energy storage with industry professionals. The webinar will provide information PV InfoLink analysts collected at the SNEC PV Power Expo 2021, where product displays included 182mm and 210mm large-format modules and BIPV products. As energy storage deployment grows in countries such as the U.S., Europe, and China, this year’s exhibition saw more manufacturers introducing energy storage solutions to provide end users with comprehensive services. Amid growing global energy storage market ESS InfoLink analyst will explore prospects and opportunities of battery energy storage.

Webinar Summary:

The PV supply chain has experienced several rounds of price increases since 2020. Polysilicon prices, in particular, hit a record high at the end of May this year, reaching RMB 200-220/kg. Consequently, module spot prices surged to as high as RMB 1.8/W. However, severe shortage across the supply chain is projected to ease, as grid-parity projects are allowed to postpone until next year, according to the notice issued by China’s National Energy Administration. Against this backdrop, we will first discuss supply and demand and price movements post SENC.

Then, we will look at the solar technology. This year saw quite a few manufacturers gearing up for n-type technology, although the developments will depend on whether leading manufacturers can implement TOPCon and HJT projects smoothly. After collecting information from the SNEC, we will provide updates on the PV technology trends.

Finally, we will delve into the energy storage market. With the world shifting toward energy transition and climate policies being promoted across the globe, energy storage provides solutions to help strengthen and stabilize the grid. Driven by growing electric vehicle market, MW-scale lithium-ion battery becomes the best option for energy storage systems. Our analyst will offer analysis of the market outlook and economic benefits.
In this webinar you will learn:
  • Review and outlook for PV supply, demand, and price trends
  • Solar technology trends
  • Li-ion energy storage market prospects and business models
Questions can be submitted during the webinar through a chat window.
