After Orissa High Court issued a stay order for safeguard duty of ShapoorjiPallonji Infrastructure's PV module import, the Ministry of Finance has now notified that Indian government will not insist on payment of safeguard duty. However, the solar cells and its related products, which were imported from China and Malaysia before 20 August, still have to be executed a bond for the amount assessed in case if the notification imposing the levy is upheld. 
 
Besides, Directorate General of Trade Remedies' recommendation (DGTR) was challenged by Hero Future Energies, ACME, and Vikram Solar in the Orissa High Court, and the court has notified the Indian government staying the notification of safeguard duty by 20 August 2018.
