Conclusion

From January to July, Europe accounted for about 47% of China’s module exports. In July and August, reports of possible adjustments to China’s export tax rebates, modest module price increases amid China’s policy changes, and reduced inventories in non-China markets prompted some manufacturers to stock in advance, indicating a mild demand uptick in Q3.

Looking ahead to late Q3 through Q4, major import volumes are expected to stay flat, with only modest upside under optimistic scenarios. Europe’s demand growth remains limited, while Southeast Asian markets such as the Philippines and Indonesia may drive demand growth amid rising geopolitical risks.

Global shipments in Q3 are projected to be slightly below last year’s level. Full-year shipments are unlikely to see substantial growth but is expected to remain broadly in line with last year, with potential for mild increases from that baseline.
